This may differ if you've been recruited into a general graduate role. But on the graduate programme, I undertook a 2-week induction. During the first week its quite relaxed, your IT equipment is sent to you, you're given time to set up your account and ensure HR Hub has up to date payment information. Prior to your start date a member of HR usually sends a 2-week agenda/timetable which includes all your induction meetings.
To begin with I had a meeting with IT regarding our systems, the purpose around this was to get used to company-specific platforms. I then had meetings with the various networks of the business, which each graduate is encouraged to join. These include 'Mind Matters, Carers, Mosaic, Affinity, Armed Forces and Enable'. These are all internal networks which you can optionally join depending on your interests. I was then given some social media training, which is very useful as it helps you to enhance your presence on LinkedIn and create valuable content. I also met the sponsor of the graduate programme and was warmly welcomed.
In the second week, I was invited to the Edinburgh office, all paid for. I received the opportunity to experience the 'Innovation Lab' which contains some modern and elegant media walls. I attended 'Meet the Experts' sessions where I asked several questions regarding my career journey here. I also attended an evening social with the other graduates. Overall, the experience was very relaxed, it was less rigid and more of a phased transition into the 'World of Work'. HR made a great effort in providing us with structure, clarity and reassurance.
You also receive further training when you actually begin working in your first rotation, this is tailored to the division you are working in. I'm located in the CS Reassure division. So, the training I received will be different to other graduates.

So in terms of training I had a 2-week initial induction where I had to complete online e-learning modules. Then the second week was more specific. It was tailored to the training of the role. The kind of softwares that will be used, the systems etc.
The 2 weeks would then be signed off by your line manager.
However throughout my graduate programme so far I have been involved in external training workshops organised by 'Hemley Fraser'.
One of which was named - Communicating with Clarity, Business Acumen and Beginner 3 Hour Excel Course.
The opportunities are endless, the company really invests in training and is supportive.
Thank you for your question. I've spoken to one of our current graduates on the Business Rotational programme and they have said you have a 2-week induction before joining your first rotation. During this induction you complete mandatory e-learning, network with other graduates and understand the systems that will be used while in your rotation.
Throughout the programme there are many training opportunities that graduates can be involved in. We have monthly training sessions with external provider Hemsley Fraser where we take part in business skills workshops covering topics such as strategy, brand and goals. You can also choose to complete the Lean Sigma Yellow Belt training and project which aims to reduce waste and improve a process within the company and graduates can also complete an apprenticeship with the Early Careers team. As part of the graduate programme, it is mandatory to complete the CII CF1 and LF1 exams within the 2 years on the programme which helps to increase basic knowledge of pensions and the financial services industry as a whole.
There are ample training opportunities for graduates and the support from the Early Careers team is great!
