Jenny Y. asked a question to Kieran J.
Hi Jenny,
Thank for your question!
The Group has active campaigns in place to achieve diversity. There are variety of networks where colleagues can join, which specialise in different diverse categories such as RACE for ethnic minorities, Professional Young People, Carers and Disability and LGBTQ. Each network meets quarterly and hosts social events every quarter. the company is also funding a firm-wide DE&I project in the Talent Development space that aims to raise awareness through volunteering initiatives. For example, the current focus of the project is helping Over 50s retain their career and maximise their opportunities despite their age group. Various networking events and conferences have been faciliated where employers come and help these individuals progress in their career. In March this year, the Department for Work Pensions assisted us in setting up an Over 50s Jobs Fair in Birmingham which was a great success!
The working culture is very relaxed - there's a great emphasis on 'bringing your full self to work'. Regardless of a race, political opinion or disability - working arrangements can be altered to suit the individual.
Hope that helps!
