Thanks for the question. My experience of joining the company is that it's a very easy business to join and to feel comfortable in. Everyone has been great, really friendly and open to help me find my way and learn what I need to know. In my role, the biggest challenge has been to identify the root causes of why the programme I'm leading has not been performing in the way I want it to. It's taken a lot of discussions with the programme leadership team and a lot of probing and some difficult conversations, but I do believe that we have got to the bottom of the root causes and we are addressing them.
One of the biggest challenges I have faced since joining was returning to work from maternity leave. The transition of re-entering work as a working Mum was one that I was apprehensive of but was made easier by so many of the family-friendly policies the company offers. I was able to come back to work on a phased return (with no impact to pay!) starting with 60% my first month and slowly building up. I'll forever by grateful of this as it not only helped me but also my daughter too as she was able to phase into nursery.
