Is working overseas for certian periods of time allowed whilst working here? If so, are there only certain countries that you can work out of?
Hi! Thank you for your question. In short, yes this is permitted subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria. The majority of our vacancies will require the successful candidate to be based somewhere in the UK, and we will verify your Right to Work in the UK during your vetting and onboarding stage. Upon joining us, permanent colleagues who are UK tax residents can request to work outside of the UK for up to 21 consecutive days per year from a prescribed list of countries. The list of countries is subject to change at any time but as of November 2024 this includes Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain. You can use this in combination with holidays or trips to visit family, it's not a replacement for annual leave. Colleagues are eligible to request this from their first day with us, however it's worth noting that for the most senior roles in the organisation (typically Directors and Executives), there can be different rules. More information about this is available internally and will be explained to you should you make a request. Please note this policy is subject to change at any time, so if this is important to you, please check in with your Talent Acquisition Partner ahead of joining.
Thanks Jane for the response! Just wanted to check if there’s any specific rules on working from India as I see it’s not in the prescribed list
Hi Chandan. India isn't currently on the list, so unfortunately we aren't able to support working from this location under this policy at the moment. I don't want to assume your circumstances, but other policies that might be helpful are annual leave (38 days including bank holidays and the option to buy up to 5 more days) and between a 1-12 month career break. I mention these and particularly the career break as I know colleagues who have used this to visit family or go travelling! But I appreciate they might not be what you're looking for. If you are interested in joining, we'd love to hear from you, and regardless appreciate you taking the time to ask a question.
