Gordon W. asked a question to Jeremy K.
Gordon
Thank you for the question. There are different contexts in which this question will apply and I will try and break this down in the answer.
Within the projects I deliver each project team member will have a role assigned to them and be entrusted with a specific deliverable or set of deliverables. The members of these team will vary in experience however my focus will always be on progress against their deliverables. Progress will be monitored in project working groups and I will always seek views and opinions from the team on progress against the deliverables and if not on track alternative approached that can be taken to reach the desired outcome.
Within my delivery hub there will be regular team meetings where team members involved in change will be updated by the hub delivery lead. This is also an opportunity for the wider team to suggest topics and raise suggestions and or concerns. For my reports who are uncomfortable raising questions in a more open forum I have regular weekly catch ups where I encourage them to be open and suggest and improvements or raise concerns.
At a wider organisational level the company use a tool called Peakon which is an employee engagement platform. In practice this involves a monthly survey where the company asks questions on a variety of topics and seeks feedback from the employees to take a temperature check of how employees are feeling and how engaged they are. The responses to these surveys are anonymous and themes from the comments are collated to allow the company to formulate actions to improve engagement and employee satisfaction.
Hope this answers your question
