Glory D. asked a question to David B.
I have been involved with risk management throughout my career, more recently working in a role where I support the business with risk management activities. Risk management encompasses a wide range of activities ranging from helping the business understand its risks, action plan tracking and audits through to getting involved in complex calculations. This can be very technical at times, and as risk manager you have to be able to engage with the business so that it 'lives and breathes' whilst making technical elements accessible. Therefore, the most important thing to know is whilst there is a whole technical side to risk management, it is the engagement and people skills which are critical in bringing it to life.
